What exactly do you love about the Jedi philosophy? They kidnap children like the Ottoman Turks did to turn them into janissaries, they condone slavery and kill at whim, they suppress or divert planetary uprisings in service of "balancing the Force" (whose concrete goal is to create a galaxy of unquestioning peons led by a genetic elite), they forbid emotional attachments (a surefure way to create psychopaths), there are no women Jedi (only as a wan afterthought and, by the by, all the "female" ones are non-human albeit with titillating female attributes), they believe in total dog-like hierarchy and obedience... I could go on semi-indefinitely, but I already discussed this in the essay that Alex referred to in his article (which acted as the cause for our acquaintance).
